Mar. 02, 2009

well i'm going to start with an answer to a pretty common question that was had.. the numbers in the picture from last week are the Transfers that we are on. so that was taken when i was on my 5th transfer or like 2 weeks ago. we have 16 transfers on the mission so yeah. this is my 6th. its actually really weird to me because when i served with Elder Lemich he was on his 6th-7th transfers... and so now i'm there and its really crazy weird! it seems like just yesterday ahh!!!!
Anyways how was everyones weeks? it was a pretty good week for us. starting out with Teaching our newest amis on Monday night. his name is Carlos and he's from Portugal. It was cool how we found him because just before we had tried to pass by a potential amis but he wasnt there so we prayed and walked a little bit and elder weight was like hey come here and we knocked on carlos' door and voila. he's a cool guy. and i lied it was wednesday Night haha! anyways he said he would read and pray so its looking good eh? thats the key.
we also saw Agnes a couple of times this week. she's doing really well and has Stopped smoking as of Friday. and she got sick so she couldnt go to church sunday but its really cool to see the changes someone who knows its true is willing to make.
On Thursday we went to Grenoble for a Zone Meeting and also for an exchange with the Zone Leaders. which went really well. i was with Elder Murragara. we started off by trying to pass by this guy that wasnt there but we decided to port his building and we talked with a lot of really nice and open people. fixed a rendezvous for them for the next day and yeah it was good. then we went to pass a man to try to invite him to a baptism they were having in grenoble the Next day and he wasnt there so we ported his builidng and when we were on the last door we had this pretty too long conversation and then here comes the guy walking behind us. cool stuff so we ended our conversation with the lady we were talking to, it was going no where, and ran upstairs(because we were going to be late for our next rendezvous which we were...) and invited the guy, he said he'd come and yeah tender mercies.... then we ran got on the bus... the wrong bus... and ended up somewhere then we walked and finally got to where we were going. then i had one of the most Spiritual Rendez-vous, if not the most spiritual rendezvous of my mission... it was just so cool! it was with an amis whose wife is a member and he's been meeting with the missionaries for a couple of years. he wants to be baptized this year but he wants to be ready... it was an amazing experience... everyone was crying and wow... it was awesome.
this sunday we were with the members a lot... we went (after church) to eat at a members house. they live in Roman-sur-Isere which is like a 20 minute drive from Valence. and they are italien... so we got to eat Lasagna... LE VRAI!! haha it was sooo good! then we probably spent to much time there but we played with them and the older couple that was there Chinese Checkers which was funny just because it was a couple of old married couples who have just So much love for each other. then after that we went and visited a less active, which we were late for and also after there wasnt any buses for us.(and we had a rendez-vous in 3 minutes and were a 45 minute walk away!) so we called a member and he came and picked us up. he's the coolest guy in the world haha! you'd have to meet him to understand but ya! he's just so goofy and nice, and its awesome! (he also served his mission in England, and he LOVES the missionaries) him and his wife have 4 kids and the littlest is the cutest little girl in the world. she's like 2 years old i think and she Loves us (the missionaries in general) and she just runs around FOREVER!!! haha!
sweet family!
anyways so then we went to our rendezvous 20 minutes late, and he wasnt expecting us (carlos) so we rescheduled for today and then we went and ate at another members house... and now i feel fat, and something we ate made me a little sick... and i have gross burps... umm and that was about all the exciting things this week. hope you have a great week and love you all!
